Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known for portraying naive characters that are engaging and relatable. Adams grew as the seventh 7-year-old living in Castle Rock Colorado. In the late 1990s, she began performing professionally and dancing at Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Leigh's film career began when she signed an MGM contract in the mid-1940s. She was discovered by actress Norma Shearer. She starred in a number of popular films during the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from 1960) and Living It Up (1954) with Martin Lewis.
